Britney C. is my “Family Bride.” All day Britney was surrounded by her loving family who showered her with love and encouragement. They swapped stories all morning and were laughing and smiling while just enjoying each other.

Britney’s makeup was focused around the eyes. In the reference photos she sent me, every makeup look was based around big, bright eyes. I made sure to work with matte grays and browns on her eyes for a natural look while strongly highlighting her inner corners and brow bones to make sure her eyes POPPED! For natural looking eyes, I swear by Morphe’s 35O Palette; it has every neutral shade for every skin tone.

I worked with different shades of gray and brown for her eyes. We started with a light brown for her transition shade then layered darker browns and grays on top. I added some white shimmer on her lid and a bright sparkling white on her inner corner and brow bone! She was stunning. DO NOT forget the bottom lash line! It is a subtle but strong way to make your eyes pop.

We wanted to use lashes for Britney’s makeup look (I practically beg Brides to wear false lashes), but we wanted to keep her eyes light and bright so I used a short length lash to give her eyelashes an extra pop (false lashes are like a push up bra for your eyes). Short length lashes give your eyes more volume without the extra length so our eyes will be more focused on her direct eyes instead of her entire brow to cheek eye.
