Morgan B. : My Mama Bear Bride (Party of 3)
Morgan is my “Mama Bear” Bride. This bombshell of a mom works full time, has 4 beautiful children, and balances it all like a boss. For Morgan’s makeup, we went completely different on her actual wedding day than we did from her trial run. For her trial run (which is always highly recommended by me for reassurance and peace of mind) we did strong eyes and lips. We played with dark berries, fire trick red, and even tossed around the idea of black on her lips! She wanted a double winged eyeliner on her top liner and big, fun false lashes (trial run makeup photo is at the bottom of this page).
On her wedding day, we ended up adding a beautiful and bright pop of glitter to her eyes in the center of the lids. We stayed with the double winged liner and red lips. Originally, we did big, long lashes, but as we put them on and examined them, we decided to go a little more subtle on the lashes.
**PRO TIP: If you are struggling with a certain aspect of your makeup, TELL YOUR MAKEUP ARTIST. It is our job and honor to make you as happy as possible on your special day! Your MUA should spend time discussing your wants and needs for your big day. We can change any and every aspect of the makeup; it is just makeup- it will come off.
Morgan’s skin is more on the dry side and it is very sensitive, so we had to work with high end products to ensure the exact results we were aiming for (high end products have high end ingredients). For my Mama Bear Bride, we used MAC’s Studio Fix Fluid in half a shade darker than her skin color. We do this trick because in flash photography our skin can look ghost pale and washed out. Wearing a foundation shade that is half a shade darker than you need will help combat this from happening! Be certain that your MUA contours your face accordingly and adds life back into your skin with blush and highlight after applying foundation and powder.
Morgan, thank you for letting me be a part of your day! You were stunning. It was so nice to see a Bride that is so family oriented; family is the most important part of life. Spending your wedding day with your family and friends is a privilege you held tight to. I wish you and Jamie a lifetime of happiness with all your little ones!
