Megan is my smiling Bride! This Bride was so happy on her wedding day; she was smiling nonstop and so excited to be marrying the love of her life. Megan was surrounded by her closest friends and family the morning we got ready. There was music playing, food being eaten, and laughter from every corner of the house! We discussed months in advance during her phone consultation** that we wanted very natural, bright eyes with minimal color.

For this smiling bride’s eyes, we worked from the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette with O N E neutral brown transition shade in her crease - that was the only dimension we added to her eyes. On top of that, we applied a shimmery vanilla shade over her entire lid and that was IT! We applied very glam lashes that were just long enough to enhance her eye shape, but not take away from the rest of the makeup.

** PRO TIP: You want your client’s makeup to blend together seamlessly. This may seem like a no-brainer, but it’s important to take the client’s desires for eye makeup into consideration with her false lashes and eyeshadow colors. Blend until your hand cramps! **

One trick we do on Brides is use the light color we put on their lid on their bottom lash line closest to the inner corner; this ties the entire eye look together. We used the original neutral color on her top crease on the bottom lash line to add a bit of dimension to her eyes, but we wanted this look to be very subtle, so we kept the focus on her natural eye color and her skin.

For my Smiling Bride’s face makeup, we mattefied her skin with NYX’s primer in the T-zone and then used Estee Lauder’s Illuminating Primer on the high points of her face to make her glow where we pinpointed exactly.

Megan was so happy and smiley all morning with her Bridesmaids! This sweet Bride’s friends were all in wonderful moods, and were sharing stories and memories they’d made at different parts of Megan’s life. It’s been said before, but a trick I do with Brides is ask their fiance’s name. Depending on how they answer me is a tell-tale sign of how excited they are to be married to that person….and Megan was very excited when she answered, “Connor,” with a smile.

Megan, thank you for letting us be a part of your special day! I wish you a lifetime of happiness with your love!

**Phone consultations are added into the price of Bridal makeup services & highly recommended!
