Alyssa C. : My Party Bride (Party of 3)

My “Party Bride,” Alyssa told me from our first interaction that she wanted fun makeup with fun colors. She picked green for her eye makeup and I am so glad she did because it went perfectly with her colorful personality and beautiful eyes!

We worked with dark emerald green, dark browns, and black as well as a bright white shimmer on her inner corner to make her eyes pop. Alyssa’s wedding was outside so we used matte foundations and powders to keep her makeup flawless while in Florida’s brutal heat. If you’re going to be outside for your wedding, set your makeup with an HD powder or banana powder to get in the small places where compact powder can’t reach. Then set with a light dusting of compact/loose powder. Be sure you or your makeup artist sets your makeup with a good setting spray. This fool-proof combo works on all skin types and lasts all day!

We chose a nude lip because they are low maintenance, easy to reapply, and stay put when you just gotta have a drink! ;) (see photo below) My favorite nudey-pink lipstick for Bride’s is Maybelline’s 920 Nude Lust. I keep this shade in my purse at all times.

Alyssa was so fun and knew exactly what lies ahead of her. If someone complained or something went slight awry, as they do on wedding days, she kept saying, “At the end of the day, I’ll be married to my love, and that’s all that matters.”

All this Bride wanted to do was party at her wedding and be married to the love of her life! This encouraged me so much because in a time where people want to get married out of pressure, have a wedding completely out of budget, or get married for sheer bragging rights, Alyssa showed me her heart regarding marriage; she wanted to have a marriage, not just a wedding.
