Now you begin booking your vendors. You book the cake, the venue, the reception hall, the band, the food, your hair stylist, the “day-of” coordinator, the DJ, but there is one more vendor you have yet to book: The Makeup Artist.
Book your desired Makeup Artist (MUA) as soon as you can. Do your research, see who you like, and book ASAP (most Brides book their wedding makeup 6-10 months out).
When you book with Spyglass Beauty for your Bridal & Wedding Party makeup, you book security and peace of mind. After filling out and sending back your Bridal Questionnaire email, we will book a free phone consultation to better learn you as the Bride and get a more in-depth understanding for what you want for your big day. And hopefully during your phone consultation, if time and location permit, we will book your trial run.
We always recommend a trial run for Brides so you can see exactly what you’d like for your makeup, we can try many different shades of lipstick, you will have peace of mind knowing exactly what to expect on your wedding day, and it makes the entire wedding day makeup go much faster because we already know what you want! (Most Brides book a hair trial run as well for the same day).
On the big day, you can expect Spyglass to show up wearing all black 15 minutes before our scheduled time to begin. This gives us time to set up our station, wash our hands, prepare the makeup, meet & greet the Bridal party and professionals in the room, and get our first client in our chair at the designated time.
Bridemaids are allotted 45 minutes per makeup session and Brides are allotted 1 hour. An hour is allotted for Brides because you are the last to get makeup done out of the party which means everyone will be ready before you. In turn, the “Wedding day rush” will ensue!

This is all happening while you, the Bride, are getting your makeup done.
For this reason, we allot an hour. If possible, we try to set up our makeup station in a back room or somewhere away from the wedding day rush, so when the Bride finally gets in our chair, she can have some peace and quiet before the start of a long day & night. (Don’t be scared of the wedding day rush, it’s what makes the morning of getting ready fun!)
Once your wedding day has come and gone, you will receive a Bridal Blog written about you, your makeup look, your Bridal party, the morning of getting ready, our experience with you, and makeup tips and tricks we used that day. This blog comes free of charge and is used as a “Thank you” from Spyglass to our beautiful and happy Brides!
