Lena G. : My Wolf Pack Bride (party of 7)
Lena is my “Wolf Pack Bride” because this Bride was surrounded by her closest friends and family (her wolf pack) on her wedding day. Each Bridesmaid was a best friend of hers, the photographer was a close friend, and family members were cutting and arranging flowers and food.
This Bride wanted eye makeup we have never done on any Bride before…and it ROCKED! We started with her eye makeup so we could sharpen the edges with a makeup wipe to make an extreme cat eye. We used different shades of gray (wolf gray!) on lids and outer corners and blended it upward with a gold shimmer in her crease.
After the eye shadow, we did her face makeup then went back in with black liquid eyeliner to follow the clean line we created with the eye shadow and gave her a long wing. Under the black eyeliner, we added gold glitter liner; phenomenal is not a strong enough word for how gorgeous my Wolf Pack Bride was!
Lena’s big, green eyes shined in this eye makeup look. The grays, the gold, the shimmer, everything worked together perfectly for her finished look. We stayed matte on her face makeup because this Bride is not a fan of highlighters or shimmers on her cheeks. We placed the lightest dusting of highlighter on her cheek bones, but nothing too dramatic. We wanted the attention on her eyes!
**PRO TIP: Talk to your Bride! Walk them through what you are doing as a Makeup Artist. I would have not known my Bride did not want shimmery blush and highlight if I would not have told her about my next step. Brides and clients cannot read your mind, speak it out!**
This Bride was unbelievable when she was in full glam. With her Bridesmaids in blood and wine red dresses and her dark, sultry makeup look on her green eyes, Lena looked like a beautiful wolf!
Because my Wolf Pack Bride is an incredible hair stylist and so were most of her Bridesmaids, they all did each other’s hair on the big day! Family members were cutting and arranging flower and getting food ready while the Bridal party was doing each other’s hair and finishing touches on getting ready.
Lena was in the midst of everything helping, decision making, and delegating all while getting ready for her own wedding. This Bride kept it all in the family on her wedding day and it was so nice to see. This Bride is the perfect example of being “thrown to the wolves,” but coming out leading the pack!
